BANIG (cultural color)
Banigs - mats produced in the Philippines - are used for sitting, sleeping or straight “chillin”. Generally made from the dried leaves of palm trees, pandan, or sea grass, these handwoven mats are sometimes plain, but are more commonly intricate: producing colorful patterns that generally resemble plaid.

Apple is a prime example of a company that cashes in on simplicity when it comes to design. Their packaging as well as their products speak directly to their simple, yet very clean look. These are a few examples of how subdued and straight to the point Apple design is. They truly let their products speak for themselves.
